I purchased a Mac book pro last week. I use my Soundblaster XFI sound card (USB), which works fine on both my PC (VDJ too) and MAC. However, when it comes to VDJ, it is different. I set up a home configuration: 2 sound cards, one for the main audio (SB XFI) and the second one for the headphone (built-in card).
My biggest issue is that the main audio glitches as soon as I select a 2-card setup. This is the kind of stuff I struggled with in 2000 when I was using AtomixMP3! I tried with other sound card (well Creative sound cards...) and it sucks as well.
I am tired and I am looking for a better solution. As first sight a 4-out card would be much better (I do'nt want to buy an externam mixer). At least the drivers may be much more optimized.
Which card do you recommend (USB would be great as my Mac book pro has no firewire port)? $200-250 is ok.
Thanks in advance,
phenryll

Using a single multi-channel sound card designed for DJ use is strongly recommended. Numark DJIO is a popular choice.
