It's been a long time for this problem and I have not seen or figure out how to fix it.
I also look at the created BMP file for it, it is blank (like in attched pic). You can edit this BMP file and put a picture in it and re-save it, that's how to wrok around the problem.
Was there any fix to this ?

I've found if you render in wmv HD usually clears that problem up, since I first advised people to do it this way nobody has so far come back and said it doesn't work for them.
