I am running a Denon dn-mc 6000 controller and virtual dj.
I am also using the Denon skin.
When I open virtual dj the crossfader on the skin is already assigned left for channels 1 and 3, and right for channels 2 and 4.
How do I change this so that the crossfader is not assigned to any channels.
I can click on the channes to un-assign them, but they are always re-assigned when I start restart virtual dj.
Thanks.

Config>Options
Click crossfader until it displays "disabled"
Then those settings won't have any effect at all as the crossfader will do nothing.

Hello Keith,
Thanks for the reply, but I was wondering how to set the skin so that the crossfader lights are not selected. Is it possible to have the crossfader assigned to no channels by default.
It's just me being fussy.
Cheers.

Can you give me a link to the skin you're using and I will have a look.
I don't think it's possible to do this but you never know!

I may have downloaded the skin from the Denon DJ forum.
Hope that helps.

If it's the one I'm thinking of then I've had a look at the XML and it's not possible to do this as the crossfader has to have a default position on load.
If the crossfader is disabled then it's purely asthaetic and not really an issue.

Hello Keith,
Thanks for taking the time to check this out for me.
Like you say it is purely aesthetic and something I can live with.
Thanks again.

you can add this to your ONINIT command for your controller to disable the crossfader on load of your controller
deck 1 cross_assign 'thru' & deck 2 cross_assign 'thru' & get decks 4 ? deck 3 cross_assign 'thru' & deck 4 cross_assign 'thru' : nothing
or you could just remove the mapping for the crossfader if you never use it.
