Sorry but I have done only a review of the VCI-380 for my website http://www.digitaljockey.eu/ using ITCH
and there was no time to make a def & mapper, now it's returned to Vestax.

@Support

Am assuming that revision of vDJ to support the VCI-380 will also add a vDJScript Verb similar to / action="effect select_multi" / for video i.e. action="effect video_select_multi" to support being able to activate more than one video effect at a time.

Just to clarify, if you use something like Random Video transitions which would effectively need to be ON all the time, (or even one of the text to screen effects), then program an Encoder knob on the VCI-380 to scroll and select/use another video effect, the enabled video effect is turned off once scrolling begins.

Another verb that is needed is something similar to "video_fx_clear" for all audio FX.

Adding support for these verbs and sorting out the touch sensitivity of the jog would be awesome!

No, it works as all other controllers do for video effects (Where they have suitable controls for these.) There are knobs (SHIFT + the FX knobs in the mixer section) to select and activate video effects and transitions.

Activating multiple video effects can already be done by mapping buttons to video_fx_select "name" & video_fx - You can map buttons yourself to do this (There are plenty available on the VCI-380!) However, when activating multiple video effects, depending on the effects activated you need to take care that they are de-activated in the reverse order that you activated them in.

Currently, there isn't any way to select with a knob and then activate multiple video effects. If you would like to see this functionality in a future version, you can ask in the Wishes & New Features forum.

@Support,

Although the VCI-380 Pads may be able to be mapped to use video_fx_select & video_fx in one action for selecting and turning on a video effect, a verb like "video_fx_select_multi" would allow use of a knob like the "PAD FX" on the VCI380 to select and enable video effects. Otherwise you pretty much have to be in a correct mode 1st to use a pad as a video effect. It just seems to make for a better workflow if the knob can be used for the video effect. Again, you can do this for audio fx now, so it seems to follow that you should be able to do the same for video FX. I will add to the wishes forum.

Please explain why it is important to de-activate video fx in order. I have always activated multiple video fx (via keyboard shortcuts) in random order and never had a problem.
