Topic: 64 bit issues with windows7 64 bit please help

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I've recently bought a new laptop. Not knowing my virtual vinyl box wasn't gonna work. Anyway. I downloaded the beta driver from numark and manually updated the driver but its not taking it or something. It just says it has installed the best driver for the device. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Need help. My old 32 bit has scared me the last couple months with catches in the audio and brief freezes. I can't keyed risking it. Need my new lappy going. Please help

OK. I disabled the signing option in the safe mode load like suggested. From there I tried updating the driver manually like explained on numarks site.. still getting the fail and installed the best driver prompt. My PC is a Acer 5534. And athlon x2 dual core l310 1.2ghz. 4 gig ram 64 bit windows 7 homepremium service pack 1

Make sure that you follow the installation instructions included with the beta driver exactly.

If you have already allowed Windows to install older/generic drivers, go into device manager (Start -> Devices And Printers -> right-click and choose Device Manger), locate the VirtualVinyl sound card in the list of devices, right-click on it and choose Update Driver Software... Choose Browse my computer for driver software and browse to the folder containing the beta driver.

If this doesn't help, your best option would be to contact the manufacturer Numark support: http://www.numark.com

As above, upgrading to a newer model of DJ sound card that natively supports 64-bit operating systems with non-beta drivers would be recommended.
