Topic: VirtualDJ & freestyler with a midi controller

I have the freestyler plugin for virtualDJ to work my lighing off the laptop.

On freestyler there is a fav short cut key.. Is there anyway I can use the key in virtual DJ on a midi controller ?

So on my midi controller " MPX-10" I just a key and my fav tap on freestyler comes on & off ?

Not in a position to check, but:

set '$fsvalue' 255 & set '$fscommand' 1


That should do it IIRC. You might need a 1 instead of the 255. Ensure you have VDJScript enabled in the FS plugin.

Can i play a cuelist from pressing a button on vdj ??

Same as above, but change the fscommand value from 1 to a number in the range 272 (toggle cuelist 1) through 287 (toggle cuelist 16).

You can change cuelist tabs with 266 through 271 (cuelist tabs 1 through 6).

These values are documented in the Sendmessage and TCPIP.pdf file in the Documentation folder of FreeStyler.

Thanks for helping with that but could you help me with a code for freestyler to make the hazer toggle to go to 3% and a other on so it goes back to 0%
