Topic: Stanton SCS.1D Hoping someone can give me some info....

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I see some GREAT reactions to this controller, but most of them are from some review site or so, not from actual people who bought them and use them. Can someone who is using this controller chime in and give me some input here? How is the latency from the turntable? What about the buttons and knobs?

I'm currently using a Numark V7, and I LOVE the feel of it. Buttons are easy to push, layout is easy to understand, but.... the 7" platters are just getting old. I found out after scratching on 1200s after so long that I really do need a larger platter surface to scratch on.

Thanks for any info!

Ok, well I went ahead and bought a SCS.1d on Ebay, I guess i'll just find out for my self. I'll post my findings on here...

This is a great product.

I'm using some time ago, and all I can say: WOW. Platter, latency, buttons, rotary enconders, drumpads are excellent. the other pot's are a bit wobbly, but OK.

The only problem the Stanton support doesn't exist at all. No firmware update, no reply from the guys on the Stanton/Gibson forum ect ect.

BTW: will the anounced bundle with VDJ comes with 7.1 or just with the {who knows when :( } version 8?

I finally got it delivered to me, and straight away i'm having some issues.

Ok, in order I did this:
1)Plug in stanton scs.1d
2)hook up firewire
3)Windows cannot find drivers, so I DL from stanton website (which I would normally do anyway...)
4)Download and install "DaRouter"
5)Download and install ASIO driver from stanton for scs.d1
6)DaRouter now recognizes stanton
7)Open VDJ
8)Goto Mappers, but theres no "Stanton SCS.1D" there, it just says "Simple MIDI Wrapper" in the drop down menu....

9)Uhhhhh, I wrote this post, lol...

What do I do next?

First, you don't use the DaRouter software. That is why you don't see it in VirtualDJ. You only install the Stanton ASIO drivers.

Remove the DaRouter software - it is not needed for use with VirtualDJ.

Thanks for your responce CSToll.

I uninstalled darouter, restarted but now i'm not getting anything in the mapper section, and the scs.d1 is just laying there spinning the plater on its own like it did before. Can you advise on what to do next?

Thanks!!
