I know they say if its not broke, don't fix it, but would I notice any performance gain going from 4 Gig or ram to 8 Gig on my Mac Book Pro bootcamped doing mostly videos?

Best to use CTRL+ALT+DEL to see how much free RAM you have when you're running a session.

If it's running low then it may be worth it but otherways there won't be an advantage. I take it you're running Windows 7 64bit?

Win7 32 bit..... Working fine, but when I priced 8 gigs its so cheap, why not?

I am running a macbook pro 13 bootcamped windows 7 64 bit. I upgraded to 8 gig of ram from 4 gig I did not notice much of a difference. However my system is configured to run the bare essentials. You're running 32bit upgrading to 8 gig will not do anything for you. Even if ram is cheap what good is it if the system doesnt see it. Now if you upgrade to 64 bit windows then I would say you may see some improvement

32-bit operating systems can't access more than 4Gb of RAM, so upgrading to 8Gb would be pointless.

A 64-bit operating system is required to be able access and use more than 4Gb RAM.

NOTE: VirtualDJ itself is a 32-bit application so won't benefit from more than 4Gb RAM. However, on a 64-bit OS, the operating system itself and any other background processes may benefit from the additional RAM. It can also be used for caching files read/written to disk.

Thanks for the info all, glad I asked!
