Topic: Atomix: Why Can We Still Not Preview Downloadable Samples?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

As stated in the title, since I have been a Pro user for some time now and in two plus years time, the sample download pre-listen function is still broken....Is anyone aware of this? I have seen it mentioned in the forums before....

I don't know why either. I've gotten used to it, and just download, and listen. They are very small and it's quick. If I don't like them, I discard.
 
I would imagine it is because there is really nobody working on the forum or website. It is just kind of static, hasn't changed since I have been here.

It would be a great addition really as it stinks having to download something you may not really want even though it is quick, it is still extra steps. I download as well unfortunately I end up discarding more than I keep, which is why it would be good to listen first.
 
Pretty sure this has been brought up in the past however I will highlight it on the appropriate forum.

Larger skin previews too.
 
Just a note to you guys. We do care and listen. Most browsers do not for whatever reason support how we have the pre-listen implemented. We are currently working very hard on Version 8 and I apologize personally that this matter has not been resolved. Would you prefer that we remove the pre-listen as to not fool you into believing it might work? That is something we might have to do for the time being.

I think that's a simple and effective solution until the problem can be remedied, especially for new users.

Maybe's with an added short explanation that sample's can only be heard after download.
 
No one needs to remove anything. I'm not upset or even really complaining that much. I just wondered what the problem could be since I had first seen this brought up and discussed by forum members and Atomix reps in the forum almost two years back. I don't honestly use the samples from the site, although I might if they could be previewed easier. No hurries, I'd much rather you guys keep working hard on VDJ 8.....Thank you for the time and response though...... =D

I kept trying to preview the samples last night. Thought it was a problem with my computer.

I would still say all of those nasty things because it is a Pretentious CrapBook Pro!!...... =D
 
Ha ha.... Clueless DJ in one of the busy bars last night started 30 minutes late because he couldn't get any sound at all from his mac book pro, S4 & Traktor. ROFL :)
