Topic: Numark MixTrack PRO and Laptop, sound cutting. HELP

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Basically, my setup is all fine i Just need someone to confirm if its my laptop that has poor CPU or I need an external soundcard. My setup is asfollows: ASUS Laptop <- USB Mixtrack -> RCA'S -> Speakers and Headphones out of the MixTrack. I would be playing a song, load up another and the sound on the song playing cuts and almost slows down, even though the song is loaded on the deck is this due to CPU or I need a decent external SoundCard.

If it is CPU can anyone recommend anyways of improving CPU besides, disk clean up, Scans for malware viruses etc and de fraggging. Don't really want to overclock either.

Well for anyone to confirm whether it's the spec of your laptop, you need to tell us the spec of the laptop.......
 
3gb ram intel processor d cpu 220@1.20ghz 150 ghz, what it says when i click view amounts on control panel.
 
furthermore it says 2.87 usable what does that mean if i should have 3, is there anything i can do to get the whole 3?
