Topic: Stanton t62 vs Audio Technica atlp120

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hello. Yes as said which one would be preferred? I realize they are not no Technics 1200 or something like that but even used for me are not affordable ATM. I found both on Amazon for about same price range. So if somebody had any idea or experience with either one you're input would be appreciated. Its either TTs or another controller so these TTs are starters. I've never owned any that's why I don't want to pay high dollar for them. If I like the feel then ill work on saving for Technics. Will take any suggestion...thanks everyone.

If you're looking to go TT's, go Numark TT-200's, they just been discontinued, yet are still heavy hitters for everyone from beginner to pro and you can get a quality pair of used ones at Guitar Center. The Sad part about TT's is that they are trying hard to phase them out in favor of the console! Yet many DJ's are still using them, because it is their preference! You can find Tech 12's new in very few select locations, yet used in many places such as Guitar Center, ebay, etc. However if you're new to TT's, stick with the TT-200's for now, until you can get used to rocking with TT's, then step up to the Bentley of TT's!

Happy DJ-ing!

Thanks for the reply coach!

You really got me thinking. I must have had a brain freeze cause forgot to checkout GC. I looked everywhere else even my local craiglist was so limited or just really expensive. Im about an hour drive from nearest GC store but saw some cheap technics tts online so I think it might be worth saving a little bit more to just get some of those. Im trying to avoid goining with another controller cause Im still practicing beat matching and I still think tts will help me learn the basics..

Drinking some now, So Cheers!

I agree, you cant go wrong with the 200's. I rocked a set for a whole year!! Now I have 2 sets of Techs and have sold them but they were still running like champs when I did.

No doubt Daniel, you got it fam!

Huey, I tried these joints in guitar center a while back and was blown away with the silky smooth pull back that didn't miss one cue! My man cave is almost ready for them, so I will be putting a pair in there very soon!
