Topic: Mapping to the scroll button

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I'm running the latest version of VDJ and would like to map the scroll buttons to my music library so I can search my library and move between the folders without having to touch my laptop. I'm using 2 x Numark ICDX decks.

Thanks you

map the encoder with

param_greater 0% ? browser_scroll +1 : browser_scroll -1

the encoder button with

holding ? browser_window "playlist" ? browser_window "songs" : browser_window "playlist" : browser_enter

then the "back" button with

holding ? browser_window "sidelist" ? browser_window "folders" : browser_window "sidelist" : browser_folders

Now you will have full control over your library.. the encoder scrolls. if you press the back button the focus will jump to the folders section, or if already on the folders it will open or close the currently selected folder, you can also hold for half a second then release to switch between the folders and sidelist.

The encoder button is similar, if you press the button the focus will go to the songlist or if already on it load the selected song, and this one has a holding action to swap between the playlist and songlist.

say bye bye to the mouse ;-)

the ICDX already has a a scroll knob (press to select) and a back button mapped to them as standard on the top right of the unit, this lets you do all that you ask mate.

Thanks for the reply's I took DJ Ian M's and now i'm able to scroll through my library with ease, just ensure that if for some reason the scroller is not scrolling reset the mappers to the factory settings and it will rectify the issue.

thanks once again
