Topic: WHAT FOUR LIGHTS WOULD YOU RECOMMEND AND A SUB

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi Guys

I am starting to invest on some lights & a sub for my mobile rig, i have just bought the NS6 and a pair of JBLPRX612. I have been looking around but just to make my life easier, i would like to get some advice from the pro's in here on the must have lights and the best sub to go with the JBL. Any Aus dj around that knows where i can get a facade for a reasonable price would be good.

Cheers.

I have Two JBL Prx 615 speakers and the sub is the Qsc KW181. I didnt like the Prx618s but the xlf is alittle better. The Qsc Kw sub thunders when you blast it and it has wheels for easy transporting. If you want a great effect light, Check out The American DJ Tri Phase Led. it looks crazy with a smoke machine

I have checked the Qsc Sub and the price is not that friendly, but it is something i will buy in the future, i had a look at the Tri Phase and they are pretty neat.

It might help if you told us what you're prepared to spend.

Some DJs spend 1000s on each light, and some only spend a couple of hundred.

Also, the best type of lights for you and the style of gigs you play, will probably be different to a DJ who does bigger or smaller gigs than you.

Judging by what you've just put out of pocket for the NS6 & JBL's ( $2600 without a case +/- ) I'd assume your'e trying to stay within a budget? If your'e not using any subs at all, I would focus on that and worry about lights later. Lights in my opinion are something you want to taylor to your specific needs as a mobile DJ as you grow in the business.

Your 1/2 way there to a great system, finish it off with JBL subs or QSC's like Caliente suggests and save some cash for lights later down the road.
If you want a great single light that does everything check out the ADJ Fusion FX Bar4.

Thanks guys for your input, for now i will not worry about the lights and save up for a nice sub in the range of $1500 max.

As you said DJECoast the lights can come later on, i will still do some window shopping as the financial year is about to end

and there will be good deals coming up soon.
