Topic: why cant i hear output through external speakers?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

usb soundcard fitted and works fine, but i cant here anything through the external speakers (it plays out through laptop speakers but this isnt what i want)? ive tested them without vdj and the external speakers work fine. ive noticed that my usb soundcard only has one headphone output should there be another one for external speaker source?

check your settings in config are correct, just follow the on screen pictographs.
