Topic: My friend uses an illegal version of virtual DJ?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I keep telling him to get the real version like I have (well I mean, I only have the home edition but at least its legit and it works) and he keeps complaining of bugs and crashes and whatever.

But anyway, he's getting the Numark Mixtrack Pro next week because he thinks it still comes with the VDJ LE (in the UK), I think I have convinced him that it doesn't, but he thinks its gonna work with his cracked VDJ, and he won't take my advice that if the illegal VDJ doesn't work on its own, its not gonna work with a midi controller. So basically, can I have some facts? Will the Numark Mixtrack work with illegal versions of VDJ?

I plan to show this page to him to try and convince him to buy a legit version of VDJ.

Cheers

It depends on the version he's using. Controller support is added to new versions as they are released.

Obviously Atomix don't advocate the use of pirated software and it can contain malware in the download package as well as bad code causing crashes and unfamiliar behaviour.

If you have any links to pirated software please either PM a moderator or teamer or you can submit a support ticket.

You have also stated in another thread you are looking to get this controller, so are you asking this question for someone else or yourself?

THREAD LOCKED
