the desktop has two output's in case you have one in front & in back, so what you can do is you can assign front output for headphone/cue
rear for master output for speaker's. there's nothing to do with the skin.
goto config > sound> set like this
input's -----------------------> none
output's --------------------> the one with headphone & speaker------->master:rear & headphone:front
sound card------------------> select the with 4.1 card/higher
hope this help's you & work fine eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeenjoyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
peace

Please see our FAQ pages:
http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Pre-listen%20using%20headphones%20in%20VirtualDJ%20Home%20FREE%20or%20Broadcaster.html
NOTE: If you have a surround sound (5./6.1/7.1) card in your PC that also has a headphone socket, normally this will be a sum of all of the channels (Virtual surround) so it can't be used for headphone pre-listening. You will need to use the separate front and rear speaker output sockets of the card.
Also, the CDJ-400 skin is also not legally available to unlicensed users. If you like VirtualDJ, please support the software and its future development by purchasing it: http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html
