Hey guys

I just got a Denon MC3000 with the Tracktor 2 and I prefer VDJ. So I see that you have to get version 7.0.5b (b308) so that the controller gets noticed in mappers. Now I obviously dont want to go pay a extra amount just to get that version. So my question is, can I use any version of VDJ and instead map it manually? It will take a while but it will be worth it.

Secondly, when I tried using it with Tracktor 2, everything was working fine for a while but then when I switched my left decks turntable to vinyl mode and then back to pitch adjust mode it didn't want to change over, so it's basically playing just on vinyl mode, I cant change the pitch using the turntable but the right deck is fine...

Any advise would be appreciated,thanks

if the denon came boxed with vdj le you can use that and you can get a discount on upgrading to pro if you value the extra plugins and skins available to registered users. but in answer to your question you unfortunately can't use controllers with pro basic, home or broadcastor, so you need the full version of pro to use or map your controller.

In relation to your deck switching problem this should be easily managed as vdjscript is reasonably easy to understand so you can make sure the decks do what they are supposed to when they are supposed to do it, but atomix have published a script to allow 4 deck mixing with any 2 deck controller that can be found in the wiki, I have tested it and it's completely bug free.

If the issue is with the hardware you can use the free "miditrace" tool to see if any extra midi messages are sent out that could affect the controllers operation. It's also found within the wiki

Because your MC3000 came with Traktor LE, you will need to purchase the full VirtualDJ Professional to be able to use it with VirtualDJ.

If you have already purchased an older version or Pro, please register your serial number on the page http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html and then download the latest version from the Download Center: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html

Otherwise please support the software and its future development by purchasing your own license: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

The MC3000 is not supported in older versions of VirtualDJ.

Also, vinyl mode on the MC3000 is a hardware feature - Please see the MC3000 user manual for details of how to turn it on/off (It should be the same as the MC6000 - See the bottom of the page http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/DN-MC6000.html )
