All of a sudden after using the samsung 32 hdtv for months without problems the mac book pro wont detect the tv Im using to video mix with is it a way I can redetect the tv without restarting the computer. But even when I restart it I get a blueish screen for a second and it does that showing that the tv is connected so I was thinking it was something besides replacing the cords. I have had this problem once before when using my vms 2 with the tv at the same time. Im using a 2.3Ghz dual core i5 processor, 4g DDR3 SDRAM, 320 HARD DRIVE, INTEL HD GRAPHICS 3000 PROCESSOR WITH 384MB OF DDR3 SDRAM AND THUNDER BOLT PORT. I really need help because I want to use both products at the same time or at least get the tv to work.

Try to disable the video setting in the VDJ Config first then, restart your MBP without the connection to TV, then once started plug in the TV connection to your MBP then go to your MAC DISPLAY PREFERENCES and click the "DETECT DISPLAYS" and wait for a while your MAC OSX will find and analyzed anything that is connected to the MBP VGA/DISPLAY OUTPUT then again click the "GATHER WINDOWS" if your MBP recognized any connected device in VGA/DISPLAY OUTPUT a pop up TV MENU will be display in your MBP screen to adjust settings for you HD TV just check what is in that setup menu and maybe you have to tweak some setting here. Now when clicking the "GATHER WINDOW" in the display preference of your MBP nothing pop up meaning theres a problem in the connection between the TWO DEVICES. The problem is not on VDJ.

Thanks so much I will try that one out. Now with the Vms 2 do you think Im having trouble running both because I need more ram in the mbp or I need to change the settings. I am still running snow leopard. Maybe if I upgrade to Lion it may help

No need to worries just run an updates for snow leopard as i'm using snow leopard which is more stable than lion at the moment, but if you're buying a new MBP with lion then its ok upgrading the OS of the old MBP to new OS will be troublesome. If you go for lions and if you have other things on your MPB that might not be supported by lion you will have some issue later on.
