last night i turned on my vms4 mixer and vdj as normal....
i found that i had no controll at all and that even though i had no sound if i tried to turn shut vdj i got the music playing
do you really want to shut down vdj prompt. i tried to see if it was a configuration problem but kept getting
virtual dj is not responding.....
iv removed vdj and the asio driver and put them back in to the pc....
now it seems that i can install the djdad mapper but even though it shows iv selectied it in the mapper part of config
it hasnt actully installed the commands and mappings to vdj.

so basicly i cant use my midi system and if i try to alter the mapping manully i get the not responding promt

please anyone any ideas, also the only thing iv installed lately is an adobe update so what has causedf this?

thanks for any help

id just like to say that after 94 views to this post i do feel let down by the fact that not 1 member tried to help in any way.
this is why i dont use the site as much as i could or should be. i love virtual dj and defend it against the vinyl/traktor/serato
snobbery but do find the forum is the letdown not the software.

Well from the way the post was written, it's not easy to understand what you're saying or asking....

i think i tried to explain the problem as best as possible.
im just suprised that over 90 views were made of my post and not 1 offer of help or asking for more clear explination of the problem?
if i was an unregistered or new member and got such little response id be left feeling what is the point of posting for help

You've got a specific problem that not everyone can solve. There are 1000's of users visiting frequently and just a very small percentage have looked at your topic. And the ones that viewed it could not provide you with an answer.
If you want more viewers and maybe an answer, think about a proper description of your problem in the title..

Probably your old registry-settings are your trouble. Uninstall VDJ (again....) and DL the registry-tool: http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/2170/Registry_Tool.html
Run it and click on the button "Clean all" on the bottom of the screen. Now re-install VDJ and your mapper. I don't think that you need to re-install the ASIO-driver. That is only for the soundcard.
