Greetings!
I am making the transition from Turntables etc to virtual and am a bit confused.
I have VDJ set up on PC with all music files. Now what?
From what I am reading and understanding the next piece of equipment I need is a controller? ( I'll figure this one out per my needs.)
So
PC(VDJ) output to Controller?
Then
Controller to Amp/equalizer/speakers?
Can some one just provide a basic step by step procedure of what connects to what. Just use generic terminology, I'll figure out the equipment)
Thanks a lot!

Welcome to VDJ. It all depends on the controller. Some just control the software, and some are controllers and mixers in one unit
If you get a controller, you will connect it to a usb port on the computer. If it does not have a sound card in it, you will need a sound card, if you plan on doing shows for money. If you just want to use it for you own pleasure, you can use the built in sound card on the computer. In case of emergency, it will also get you through a gig. So you will connect the sound card to a usb port on the computer. You will come out of the sound card to a mixer. Left/right from player one on the sound card to channel one on the mixer. Left/right from player two to channel two on the mixer. Out of the mixer just like any other set up, to power amps or powered speakers. If your controller is also a mixer, connect to the computer via usb. Out of the controller to power amps or powered speakers. Let us know which controller you are interested in before you buy. We can give you some feed back, to make the decision a little easier.

Hey thanks a lot!
Your info gets me going in a right direction.
I know my way around a DJ booth using all the old school equipment quite well but was a bit overwhelmed by all the new tech and your info made it very easy to understand!
I'm already eyeballing equipment at VDJ.
ne one want to loan me about 25 G's? J/k
Thanks Community!!!

I don't know what your budget is, but this is a great controller. It is a controller, mixer, and sound card in one unit. If you do mobile work, you will love the two mic inputs, and the monitor output, which can be used as a zone out. I don't work for Denon, but have used and touched nearly every controller on the market, and this one comes as close to perfect as you can get. However, this is based on my needs, and others will have different opinions.
