Topic: What does the CTRL knob do??

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

This knob is on the Video control panel immediately to the left of the Effects drop down box. I cannot find any reference to it in the manual.

Please assist.

You mean to the right of the effects window? It controls the parameters of the video effects. Select a video effect that has parameters, say boom auto. You will notice it will move when you increase or decrease the length. If you have a controller mapped to parameters, it will also move. You can also move with you mouse, but it's a pain.
