Don't you love the feeling when you get some new equipment? It's like Christmas when you were young. So I just bought the Numark NS6. I have only tried it for a minute so I have not put it throught the works yet but so far so good! It worked immedately with VDJ. Althought I am prob going to remap somethings more to my liking. The responsiveness is awesome. Once I get the chance to test it more I will post anything else I can find.

BTW, I was gonna get the NS7 1st but the only reason I was gonna get it was for the vinyl feel but when I really thought about it I beleive the NS6 takes more advantage of the digital Djing media.

The 6 is a nice unit, good luck with it! It puts out better sound than the NS7, is a heck of allot easier to carry and has the built-in effects but I personally continue to use the 7FX and leave the 6 home. My issue is the volume meters and the selecting between effects & samples.
When transitioning I watch the meters on the 7 so I know levels are equal, something I cant do with the 6. And switching between samples & effects doesn't work for me either, I can only scroll through effects and CANT do it with the video window up.
With the 7FX everything is roomy & not cramped, I can scroll between FX & samples all night long with video window up, and of course the motorized platters.... but the thing is a bitch to carry, so its a trade off.

I´ve remapped few things on NS6. If someone is interesting i can upload it.
for ex. VU METERS are working instead song position, efects working just while pressed, and many more.

I got one a couple of months ago and very satisfied with it. Although I have not used it in 4 deck mode. I really want the spinning platter though, so I may get an NS7 also. Whether or not I get rid of the NS6 at a later date is yet to be determined.
 
Can you show me how to map the vu lights to go along whit vdj, like left channel ( left deck ) right channel (right deck )

does anyone want to try out an ns6 mapping I was making for another user, it doesn't work on his system and not sure why, it would be good to get a second opinion on a different system with a stock mapping from the start...

all it has is slip mode, transform scratch and a different way to load the decks, If I can get this to work I'll make a propper effect whore one with jog effects and all the extras...

Can you help me to setup my VU meters? I tried everything and cannot get them to work independently with left and right deck. Can you give me a step by step for this please.

Just set
LED_PROGRESS get level.
and you get level instead song position or look four posts up.

Hey Tomas... what does led level and led progress have to do with what i am looking for help on? I want the NS6 master VU meters to respond to left and right decks instead of main output levels. I like the led progress the way it functions. I have an ns7 that is set up the way I want out of the box. Left deck, left vu level. Right deck, right vu level.

BTW- I have made many searches in VDJ forum and come up with zero information about what I want to do. Try typing "numark NS6 VU meters mapping, etc" and see what comes up. Absolutely nothing except things related to other controllers. I have been searching for an answer for over a week now, including google searches. Synthet1c seems to have the correct answer or understanding of what I'm looking for but I tried what he says in a previous post and it didn't work for me. I will pm him. Thanks for trying to help me.

Thats all because ( as i think) they are not mappable. Its only output level for all channels,

BTW: Led progress leds are only way to do that as i know. I can send you my mapper, if you want.
 
Hey Tomas, thanks for the info.. Sucks that they aren't mappable though. Yes please send me you map.. Is there anything else that you modded that maybe interesting to me in your map?
