Topic: Need Help With Hercules Mp3 E2 Player - Page: 1

So I just bought a used Hercules mp3 e2 player and got Virtual DJ DJC 1.0.3. I upgraded it hoping I could get a better looking skin then the lame one it comes with. Is this possible. And I did update to 1.0.5. I also wanted to know how to add effects with this software because before this I had the Free Home Version and I could add effects. I was thinking some how maybe I could get it to work more than 10 minutes on the Home Edition with a mapper but I don't know. Any help is greatly appreciated. Also Is their any other software that's free not obtained illegally that I could get that might be better?

seeing as you have registered your software that came with your controller, pop over to the downloads section and check out the skins downloads. when your a LE user, you can download certain pieces from the DL centre. some skins are available also, just persevere untill you find one you like and can download.

Can I get LE for free because I can't find it. It only says that it can give me a discount. Or should I try the trial version and it will let me keep the skins?
 
Your controller is bundled with a LE version that is called DJCosnsole Edition. The latest version is available to your Download Center. There is no other Limited Edition that you can use or download. You may optionally upgrade to Pro full version at a small discount http://www.virtualdj.com/products/oem.html

As a registered Limited Edition user, you may download skins and effect from the Download Pages, but you can only use them during the 20days of Trial Period. After that period, the DJC Edition is not allowing the use of any additional plugins (skins, effects etc).
 
I don't think the MP3 e2 LE edition gives you any discount...
I tried it with mine, and it gave me zero € discount. :(
 
Thanks Guys that gives me a good idea of where i stand. Is there any version like an old Virtual DJ Pro that's now free? I just can't stand the lame skin and the small amount of effects I have to choose from.
 
I highly recomend you just purchase the pro version. You will be glad you did and you will wonder why you did not do it sooner.

when i registered my LE edition from my mp3e2 i was offered pro at a discounted rate. it is my understanging that everyone who has a registered LE version gets some form of discount when purchasing the pro version, i would suggest contacting support to enquire.
 
So I was playing around with my Hercules last night and found that if I turn up the bass too much that it becomes a bit distorted in my headphones. However if I turn up the medium it help the distortion to go down a bit. Does this have anything to do with the software or does this have to do with my song selection? Bescause I think I read about this problem some where else but I dont remember the solution I think it had something to do with upgrading but I did at least in LE to 1.0.5.
 
its neither the headphones or the software, its your laptop volume. turn your laptop volume down to 50-70%. whats happening is your low end is too loud and is maxing out the headphones, when you raise the mid range the bass is actually less prominent and therefore reduces the distortion. judging from what you have said it sounds to me like just a main volume issue.

I tried that also with my MP3e2 but i got no discount :(
So I didnt upgrade untill now, when I've got the 4-mx...
 
odd, mine allowed me to receive discount...
 
Um no my laptop is at like 18% right now for volume and it still does it do i need a sound card or something?

So I updated to pro on a diferent laptop and wanted to know if their was any cool have to have features that i should download
 
effects and samples... lol... 4 deck skins, and music video, video effects etc...
