so i played a gig today and for some reason in the middle of playing music it just freezed and stutterd also im not a pro it ws a party for some friends so can someone let me know if i need more equipment or something

Try running a malware / spyware scan if you haven't already.... this would be separate from virus protection scan. Also, the brand of virus protection could also be a issue.
Was anything running while you were playing, and were you online?
