Hi, what is it with computers, I've got an old desktop PC which I've just installed the free home virtual dj software and it runs like a dream. Yet out on the road, I've just bought a brand new HP g6 pavillion range laptop, installed virtualdj 7.05 on it and the performance is rubbish.When I use loops the CPU is very high and the decks start to stutter, I've checked all the latency settings etc.. but can't understand why its doing it. I'm not fully pc literate I'm afraid, give me some vinyl and record deck anyday!! The laptop is running windows 7 and all the spec should be adequate for the needs, any ideas??

Please check your computer for performance issues and ensure that it is optimised for VirtualDJ:

Thanks for the reply, I imagine this topic can be a bit of a minefield, especially as everyone has their own individual set ups. I've carried out the suggested changes and tweaks, and early signs indicate an improvement on the cpu bar, the proof of course will be out on the road.
