This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Okay, so I am very confident in purchasing a Behringer DDM4000 mixer and hooking it up to Virtual dj, however there is one thing that I need to know.

Will I be able to plug my mixer into my amplifier via the master out RCA cables and then get sound from my external amplifier?

I have read somewhere that it can't do that.

If i'm abit confusing this is what I want to do,

Connect the mixer to my amplifier via RCA cables, then connect the amplifier to the speaker.

Will I get sound out?

thanks

you can connect any sound to your AMP then to the speakers.

It's the same thing for those Active speakers that has built in AMPs then to the speakers (but in one unit thats all)

You can take your IPOD sound out to the AMP then to speakers.

You can take ANY SOUND OUTPUTS to the AMP then to speakers.

Okay, so it doesn't matter if the mixer doesn't have a soundcard? I will still get sound via the mixer connected to the amp, connected to the speaker with no soundcard in the mixer?

Thanks

ddm4000 does not have a built in soundcard.

YOu need to feed your PC sound to the mixer input then the OUTPUT to AMP into the Speakers.

If you wish to be able to pre-listen via headphones then you will need a suitable sound card. Please see:

http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Pre-listen%20using%20headphones%20in%20VirtualDJ%20Home%20FREE%20or%20Broadcaster.html

If you wish to output the decks in VirtualDJ separately to two channels on your mixer, then you will need to purchase either VirtualDJ Basic or the full Professional and a suitable multi-channel sound card such as Numark DJIO, please see:

http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/External%20mixer%20pre-listening%20with%20headphones.html

If you wish to MIDI map the DDM4000 (Or use any other MIDI controller), you will need to purchase the full VirtualDJ Professional: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html
