Topic: Denon DN-MC6000 Question

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

With the MC-6000, can I hook up two turntables and run them simultaneously with VDJ Pro? Like for example, Ch 1/Left TT (w/ Timecode Record), Ch 2/Left jog dial on controller, Ch 3/Right jog dial on controller, Ch4/Right TT (w/ Timecode Record)...all four using the same external HD via my MacBook Pro & VDJ Pro simultaneously. Make sense?

Thx.

You can run 2 turntables but not with time codes just regular records in analog mixer mode, I believe the Denon DN-MC6000 sound card does not support inputs for time codes.

What a bummer if that's true. I was hoping i could use the TTs w/ the MC-6000 setup. I suppose I can, but not w/ Timecodes (w/ VDJ). Bummer.

You can of course use something like a MAYA44 and hook the TT's up channels 1 & 4 and retain the MIDI on channels 2 & 3.

Cheers,

Roy

Thx Roy, that sounds like a winner! I have a U46DJ xternal sound card, so I could use that in place of the Maya44. Roller coaster of emotions last couple of months researching this thing (MC-6000). If that works out to be true, where I can use all four channels simultaneously, two with timecodes and turntables, and the other two with the program, I think I MIGHT have finally found a relacement for my workhorses for the past 8 years, Denon S-5000 and X-1500 mixer...I tend to hold on to things for a while as you can tell. Heck, I've had my 1200s for over 15 years! Only setback now are the platters on the controller, they're small and they don't spin, BUT if I can use my turntables...

Loving new technology!

Same here, my mkII's are over 20 years old, can't bare to part with them either...

Need to find a spare day to play and test my setup using the MAYA plus 1210's. Would be interested to hear how yours works out.

Keep me posted,

Roy
