hey just a quick one, trying to record a mix but obviously with only one soundcard i can't use headphones and i'm just having to bring each track in quietly and mix it on low volume...
anyway can i just bring it in on my speakers without it being recorded whilst the current track is playing and get the correct tempo then bring it in properly and only record the finished mix.

To use headphones and pre-listen the songs you want to mix, you will need at least a 4.1 card.
Most of the laptops i've seen don't have that, so you can try and buy a usb-splitter. (costs around 15 euro's)
Or having a console with a built-in soundcard also helps :)
