Topic: Anyone like Annie Mac? I made a mini mix...

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I got Annie Mac's latest compilation album the other week and loved it so I made my own little mini mix with some tunes from it.

I used vdj to experiment to see which tunes would mix (the key information was so useful!) and then put it together in ableton.

Enjoy!

160 views, but not even a peep from anyone!

I should be happy I suppose, I could have had 160 replies saying it's crap! haha :p

Hello mate, I'm trying to organise a mini mix myself. I'm trying to get the tracks the same speed to later organise in Ableton. Is this what you did in VDJ? If you know how, please let me know how to make all tracks the same speed to export. Much appreciated, CH.

If you're going to use Live (Ableton is the company, not the software) then you don't need to "get the tracks the same speed" - Live will do that.

Live has a master tempo, and any imported track will play at that tempo when it's warped (which is by default with full length tracks).

Be warned though, that putting a mix together manually in Live is time consuming.

Using a controller makes it easier, because you can "DJ" the mix together in real time and have Live record all the MIDI data (fader and EQ movements etc) to tweak later.

Doing it manually, you have to "draw" the fades, EQ changes etc. in yourself.
