I have a Hercules mk4 which came with VDJ6 LE, and does allow recording of mixes. I am looking to upgrade to a Hercules 4Mx which comes with VDJ7 LE. Is it still possible to record mixes with this version of the software, or would i need to uprade to VDJ7 Pro...?

VirtualDJ Limiited Edition versions allow audio recording. You don't have to upgrade to Pro Full version to have this feature.

I have a macbook 2,1 I'm trying to record a cd while playing using VDJ7 and a Hercules controller. When I play it back the sound is breaking up. Is this a memory issue?.....Help

If you're attempting to burn a CD live as you play, then I would suggest not doing that!
Record to a file first, then burn the file to CD using a slow burn speed.
