Topic: Apologies - I wont bother you again

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Sorry to anyone I upset by posting a new thread with a completely different mix showing video mixing using vdj. The first was just one song going thru a bunch of video effects, and the second video was a full length house video mix (the first 25 mins anyway). Two completely different things which I thought warranted a second topic. Thats cool - no ones too interested so I wont bother. Was just stoked to get full hi def 1080 working with multiple effects and recording in 1080 - havent seen any demos of that before so thought people might be keen to see what vdj is capable of - no worries - sorry to have wasted your time.

Sorry to hear that you had your thread shut, I saw your video with the multiple video effects in 1080p but sadly I don't have a 1080 tv so I didn't quite get the full effect! :( it's frustrating when you think you've got a wicked idea and no one else seems to get it, but at the end of the day you've got something cool to offer your clients so it's all good :)

it wasnt that people werent interested, it was just the simple matter of having the post in the right place - and the music video discussion forum would have been that place.
and you might want to find a file host - youtube did block everything. hard to watch if it aint there.

Says blocked in some countries now. Can anyone recommend a site that hosts and streams hi def videos several Gb in size?

Lets have a crack down then on all that abuse the forums, especially these NLU's that are always asking for help in general when they should be in hardware etc.

PS,

Your apology is accepted lol

A lot of VJ's are spinning HD content but most are not playing anything close to true HD, they just download from the web in 1080p but these are highly compressed and often pixelated, often indistinguishable from a well encoded file at 360p.

Having said this VDJ plays blu ray rips without any issues on my machine with no perceivable downgrade in quality.

Hard to find 1080 source videos unless you rip them yourself but I think the biggest difference in outputting at 1080 is in the video effects themselves - the edges of the cubes and squares, etc - even the sonique visuals.
