Hello,
Does anyone else find their sound settings reverting back to default when adding music to the laptop when the sound system is not connected to the laptop? I am using an external mixing board and Hercules Dj Console Rmx. I forgot the first sound setting configuration, but remember the headphones and Hercules controller sound card settings. Does anyone know the first sound setting under configuration?
Thank you.

I don't own Hercules mixer but if you're using it external mixer you should just give you the external mixer options but yes virtual DJ will at times revert back to its original settings if it doesn't see sound card you should receive a sound card error when turning on virtual DJ let you know that it is going to switch to try to reinstall virtual DJ see if that changes it see if that changes anything otherwise read the manual in your documents folder it'll tell you exactly how to hook up Hercules I believe they use that as an example.

I have a laptop HP Pavilion g7 -1160 sb .For one month now, I don't have any sound on the loudspeaker of my laptop, while it's perfectly ok in headphones or external loudspeakers. This happens since I installed Virtual DJ a month ago.

I red on your forum that I'm nit the first one to face that issue, but found no solution.

In the audio device manager, I can choose, as output "external" or "headset". But no traditional icon of internal Loudspeaker called "loudspeakers".
I selected display unactivated and display not connected, but still no icon for loudspeakers.
It just disappeared
I tried to update drivers with windows, says ok.
I uninstalled and reinstalled drivers from hp.
I uninistalled and let windows reinstall on auto, still nok.

followed this procedures too:

Method 1
You may run the fix it from the article.
Open the Playing Audio troubleshooter
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Open-the-Playing-Audio-troubleshooter

Method 2
a) Right click the Volume icon in the Notification area.
b) Click Playback devices.
c) Right click Speakers and click Test.
d) Check if you can hear the sound,
Method 3
a) Right click the Volume icon in the Notification area.
b) Click Playback devices.
c) Right click on the blank area and check Show Disconnected devices and Show Disabled devices.
d) Right click Speakers and Select Enable.
e) Right click Speakers and Go to Properties.
f) Click Levels tab and Move the volume slider for the speakers to the maximum.

Thank you for any kind of help

It has nothing to do with Virtual DJ it is your labptop soundcard settings. Try to configure your laptop soundcard in the windows "control panel" then choose the "hardware and sound" then choose the "sound" if you are using windows 7 home edition the pop windows will come with the following tabs "playback, recording, sounds, communication" choose the "playback" and you will see your soundcard speakers, headphone if you have some other sound device you will see it here. Click the "Speakers" with your soundcards description under it then in the lower right corner besides properties theres a tab called "set default" click set default to set your soundcard default. Try to experiment in this field and there are a lots of parameters in there maybe muted.
