Just hoping to get some opinions on the subject. So I specifically mix Hard Electro House and what not and with any genre I was wondering how anyone feels in mixing songs by the same artist throughout a set (say about 5 or 4 songs of the same artist in a 1 hour period). Is this not recommended?

Depends on the vibe your attempting to establish. Or, if it is a tribute to that artist, and those they influenced.

I hear time and time again...It's about entertaining your crowd, reading their reaction, being creative,....by far the worst
thing is to sound like everybody else.....Do what feels good to you....F the haters!....seriously...If you try to be something that you think you
should be, you sabotage your creative side...Go with what you feel and lay it out there....I guarantee some will hate it ..more might like it, but
they will all respect you and more importantly, you'll have respect for yourself!!!....Happy spinnin bro!... =D
