This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I know that I've done this before, but for whatever reason I'm not remembering how to do it...lolol........Dumping new skins into the VDJ

folder when on the page to download them there is ONLY the XML file and not the .bmp file as well.......The other skins I've downloaded were

always in the .exe format and installed automatically......When I put the XML file only into the VDJ-skins folder, as you know, it never shows

up when I launch VDJ....Where Am I going wrong guys??......thankx =D

you need both the bitmap and xml, you usually zip them up into the same file and have the zip file in the skins folder, but if both files are present and called the same thing it should work without zipping them
 
my thoughts too Syn.....I like to download and look at the newer skins from time to time and check em' out in VDJ just for fun.....I'm not sure

if it was a problem with the VDJ server today or what , but all of the skin links had the download for the xml file ONLY, but not the usual

"windows/Mac " icons for downloading the .exe (self install) file....WTF?....specifically i was looking at the Hercules 4mx skins....I dunno.......I've

got a few more questions Syn....do u mind, or have the time if I PM ya?.....thankx...ur in Aust. (i think).... i'm Usa ...so no hurry gettin bk, we're

about exact opposites on the time thing....lolol =D
