Topic: How can I fade from Karaoke to Website?

Hi,

Is there any software that will let me fade an external monitor from the karaoke video to a web browser or power point? I wanted to show slide shows between the songs.

you have three options AFAIK with VDJ to display your presentation, however I don't beleive it's possible to fade to a web browser.

1) if you are not using sound from your powerpoint presentation you can convert your presentation to flv, mp4, avi, mpeg etc.. then use the clipbank plugin to play the presentation without sound.

2) if you have sound, you could convert them and use them on a spare deck, then you can use the transitions and effects.

3) if you are just showing pictures of your presentation you could use the slideshow plugin.

There are even third party plugins firetext and essential media, that should be able to do the job for converted videos and pictures, as well as let you add text to the screen if you feel the need.

I'll also look at the possibility of mixing my karaoke monitor with video from my iPad.

It would be via hardware of course.
