Hi Guys, does anyone know if you can play dvds full length films on Virtual Pro? i tried putting a disk in my drive, and it was breaking it down into individual tracks? is this because the file is to big to play in one full length? im presenting a show and my client wants to show some dvd footage
Any help would be great thanks

No, VDJ cannot play a DVD Video as a full movie. It can play the individual .VOB files that your DVD Video consists of, but not the disk as a DVD player would do...
If all you need is to playback a DVD Video then I would suggest you to use the VLC Player. It's one of the best video playback programs and it's FREE!

VOB files on standard DVDs (2hrs record time per 4.7g disc) are 30min or about 1g in size. That said; you could play the VOB files, but to see the waves you need to set the "Don't preload files bigger than _ mn" to 31 on the Performance tab of Config. Keep in mind this will load a 1gb video file into memory which could put a considerable strain on your system.
Also, you may need to add "vob" extension to the codec page with "video decoder" as the decoder. Theoretically, you could put all of the Vobs on the disk onto the side playlist with no transition (to not preload into memory) but I have not tried this.
Plus, movies larger than 30mins have there own mixing system to merge the 30 segments that will cause a "stutter" because the ending of one vob is delayed a few frames compared to the start of the next vob

Just thought about this;
A safer procedure would be to purchase an inexpensive video input card like a Pinnacle Dazzle or Honetech VHS dubbing kit. Install the drivers, and you should be able to to see the video input under the Virtual DJ webcam input. You can purchase an inexpensive DVD player as a source and just toggle on the webcam when you want to play a movie.
I've done this before using an HDMI input card from Avermedia to utilize my backup computer as a source for live CDGs that my singers will bring occasionally.
