Got a brand new NS7 the other day , hooked it up to my laptop which is a HP with Vista 64 running VDJ PRO and downloaded the drivers off Numarks site but for some reason the NS7 was making my processor redline at 100% and it made VDJ keep freezing up ? I never had a problem with my VDJ freezing after hooking up any other controler so what gives ?

You system most likely does not met the MINIMUM specs for using a NS7.
From their site --
** 64-bit
Windows Vista: Intel* processor, 2.2Ghz Core 2 Duo; 2MB L2 cache; 4GB RAM
Windows 7: Intel* processor, 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo; 3MB L2 cache; 4GB RAM
* AMD Turion or Athlon processor NOT Recommended

NS7 does hog up alot of processor but seems you have more than plenty of CPU power. Have you tried to stop processes and uninstall programs that you dont need? I use VDJ and NS7 with no issue and i have a 1.8 ghz i7 with 8 gigs of ram. Seems you have the spec for using the NS7 but like I mentioned you may need to stop processes and uninstall other programs if you have not done that yet. I myself had you upgrade my Ram to 8 gigs from 4 gigs but that is just me not saying you need to upgrade your memory that helped me out as well.

Try these, as they have helped other people with the NS7.

I am also in the middle of making a little app that turns off unnecessary processes for VDJ users.
It’s still in testing but have it working on my system (windows 7 64bit) with only 28 processes running and stable.
Just trying to get that number of processes down a bit more.
Hope this helps
