Hey guys,
I have been having a problem at some clubs lately. Every club that I have been to has been using the serato world, and im bringing my virtual dj with me. Has anyone had any problems with setting up VDJ at a club? I recently had pioneer cdj 2000's to work with and i though i would have everything good to go until nothing worked. I made the right call even talked to our tech guys and still nothing happened. I configured it so that it eventually got to work but then everything was screwed up for the next dj. This seems to happen to me a lot and my only solution is bringing my own equipment. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions....maybe im doing something wrong.

If you have VDJ set up for the CDJ2000s all you should have to do is plug the usb cables from the CDJs into your laptop and you should be good to go.
Since the most bars clubs have CDJ900s / 2000s / 850s it has made my life so much easier, plus others have been amazed how fast reliable and easy to use VDJ really is.
One thing I will say though is make sure you have set the CDJs HID to deck one deck two on them (fast and easy)

Just get Serato on your laptop. Their software is free for download and the club should already provide the SL box.
I run into this problem also. So I ended up downloading Serato SL and using it when I am just guest DJ'ing. It makes it easy to just plug in. Some clubs here in Dallas also still have 1200's, so using the Serato time code just make it easier, although I can run that with VDJ too. I also from time to time play with other DJ's at the club so again, having Serato on your laptop is all that much easier. Its just a software, does the same thing VDJ does. Another option is to just bring a controller.
At the club I have a residency at, I bring my own gear. And I just recently started doing videos so VDJ is what I use.

Xca,
I appreciate the feedback but I refuse to just not use vdj when I payed good money for it. Besides a dj only works well when he feels comfortable with the equipment he is using. I would have to retrain on serato when I have a great program that can do much more if its configured right. My solution for now is to bring my own equip which is my denon dnmc6000. Its not that compact so its tough taking it everywhere which is why I would rather use the clubs equip. Please help if anyone has any other suggestions.
Thanks
