hey everyone,

I'm new again to the DJ world, i did mild 'DJ' work with a college radio station, and with my high school playing songs and cross fading them during lunch hours.

The main reason i am on here is to see if anyone or if a few people can point me in the right direction on where to truly start. I would like to actually have some great parties at my house sometime and DJ my own weddings but i want a good place to start all this. i was looking at the differences in the different versions of Virtual DJ. Is it a good idea to just start with the Free Home edition? Or is there better software out there? Would really love some feedback.

VDJ Pro is a good initial investment and one that will pay for itself many times over. If you have a strong, newer laptop to install it on great. If not, then I would start researching new ones that you like with the specs that exceed anything you can throw at it.
Then build a set up according to your budget and style.

Good luck!

alright i will look into it. i just bought a new HP Pavilion Entertainment laptop back in Sept. thanks tho.

How many wives are you planning to have?

:-)

Seriously dont DJ at your own wedding, get a wedding DJ with years of experience.

It will be worth the little that he charges believe me.

VDj Pro or one of the LE Is a software that work with any kind of event.Playing music to people is a art of Dj,playing music off your laptop and walking off is a jukebox and maybe some people think that's ok 4 no paying gigs/house parties but when there $ on the line you give and do the best you can As A Dj. Your wedding must be very small to Dj and enjoy your New wifely & take Pic & spends some time with your guest and Drink, and also set up/take down. The home edition is a good feel of Dj just with a laptop & music from your files and with out CD/TT or controllers.
