Topic: why use VDJ with ableton?

hey guys, i've been getting a little deeper into DJ'ing programs, and was really currious about some of the benifits of using
VDJ and ableton?

I do have a VST that I want to use, some people have got it to work with VDJ, but I cant seem to do so.

Really unsure if i want to go through the trouble of learning new program and setting it all up just to use some effects.

Ideas, tips, and comments welcome.
