Topic: Help Needed With Behringer BCD2000 And Virtual DJ 5

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi

First Of All Sorry If I Have Posted In The Wrong Forum And Secondly I Know This Is An Outdated Set Up But Its All I Can Afford At The Moment :)

I Had All Sorts Of Nightmares Trying To Get The BCD To Work And Finally I Cracked It. Everything Was Going Fine For A Week And Then I Went To Load Up Virtual DJ And It Told Me The Sound Drive Was Not Available And Now My Behringer Will Not Work :(.

So Basically Does Anyone Know How To Get It Working Again, No Settings Have Been Changed And When I Go To Activate My Behringer In Remote Control Config Its Just Surrounded By A Red Box.

So Please Please Please Can Anyone Help And Set Me On The Road To Mixing Again.

Thanks

first thing make sure you plug you bcd into the usb port you originally set it up to and always use same port or laptop will not recognise your controller.check here for troubleshooting check link below.

now make sure your sound set up is correct.check link below
http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/BCD3000.html.
this will give you the info you need for drivers and different sound set ups for your bcd.just copy and paste link

The biggest problem is the BCD2000 itself - The sound card of this particular controller is well known to be problematic due to bad design. If you have another sound card you can use, then this would be a better option and then just use the BCD2000 as a MIDI controller only (It should work OK for this.)

Ideally, you should upgrade to a better controller such as a Hercules DJ Console, Numark MixTrack Pro, etc.
