Trying to find a DJ name to match my Green Thundercat logo, any suggestions. I mainly mix dance music, reggae and Soca.

you can put almost anything behind DJ and it sounds cool.

DJ Tygra - yes
DJ Snarf - no

Most DJ names are given, your friends will start to call you something and after awhile it just sticks. Also if you ever make it big I'm sure you'll have some problems with the copyright infringement thing because of the logo.......might wanna just have a friend or hire someone to draw a logo for you.

Good day
Huey

hows about DJTC,
DJ THUNDER

how about just your name without dj in front of it?? The letters 'dj' in front of a name is Cliché and in my personal opinion dj 'something' sounds too mad.

I agree, why not just use your name.

With the exception of Skrillex, Deadmau5 and a few others. A lot of the big name DJ's just use their names or intials as their DJ names. Locally, most folks in my area also just use their name as their DJ names.

Thanks for the feed back everyone, I was told by an old friend that "Bengali Green" maybe a good choice. Yeah Im trying to get the logo redone, more personalized.

I've been DJing 28 years or so and still am known by my name. Some people just aren't nickname people. My son - also a DJ - whose is Eric goes by DJ Wreck (but the "e" is upside down on his logo)- it fits him and it sounds close to his name.

I've always been told I need one, just never got one.

Bengali Green sounds bad@$$. Definitely get a custom logo, but that name is cool. DJ Ambient is what my friends picked for me.

DJ so-n-so is cliche, but also traditional. I personally believe it depends on what you're trying to follow. DJ is an old school terms and stands for "disc jockey", if you didn't already know. Or, you can do like a lot of modern DJ's have done and not use the name. Personally, I think using your name sounds too amature and uncreative, but that's just me and it really doesn't make that much of a difference.

As they said your name doesn't need to be super cool it needs to be you. If you succeed you are your DJ name. For instance my name Crazy Eightz. It came from me having severe PTSD and being called crazy all the time. Eightz came from my nephew who was like a son to me killed in a wreck and loved music. You can't just pick one well you can't but I don't recommend it. Be patient and it will come.
