Don't order either one!! Wait till the Mixdeck Quad comes out. It'll have a 4 channel MIDILOG mixer like the VSM4 but you'll have cdjs as a backup. With the vsm4 you can lookup cdjs and turntables if you have them. For me I'd wait. Check it out I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I wouln't get either of those, I'd get a reloop digital jockey 3 master edition...

It has the best features of those controlers with a built in analog mixer for those rare occasions when your computer crashes or you just want to plug in some tables/cdj's

I have never got my hands on one but I have a digital jockey 2, It is great quality for everything but the push button eq knobs, which thankfully been ommited from the jockey 3. It would probably cost about $100 more than the other two options but be way more valuable in terms of how you could use it compared to the other two you suggested.

It's not currently supported, but reloop and vdj seem to have a good relationship so I would say it will be in the next release of vdj as the teamers were able to give really specific information to someone trying to create a definition for it.

These are two of the controllers on my short list, the VMS4 was my previous #1. However, after reading all of the negative reviews about sound/mic quality of the VMS4 I am rethinking that opinion.

Anyone know when the VMS4.1 is going to be released? It looks like a great option.

I am also looking at the Numark NS6. It may be more controller then I need, but after checking one out at Best Buy I am in lust.

I do not like the mixdeck as much. I rarely use CD's and the layout with the IPOD dock seems like kind of a waste of space (just use RCA connectors for Ipod/Phone).

You're going from a $500 to a $700 to a $1000 controller. Go out and see what you like and what works for you.

The VMS 4.1 should be out in US in October I read somewhere, can't remember where though.

After doing alot of research, The mixdeck quad expected 10/21/11 I believe. I also researched the NS6 to see what it was like. After reading lots of forums etc, everyone says the NS6 is a great scratch controller. Im looking for a more mobile DJ like controller, and according to forums those were the number one selected controllers that were compatible with VDJ.

Aboyas, you will not be provided with a serial number, so stop asking. All of your post will be removed concerning serial numbers.

I recommend VMS5, Better sound card and Bigger platters. I have a VMS4 and she is still going strong besides a inferior sound card on it but good enough
