This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

LPD8 works well with my timecode set up

How do you pick just one?

Still loving my trusty old DAC-2 controller! There's not much choice on the market these days for rackmountable controllers...

Back on topic and in this order:

My Mac
Driverack DBX PA
DN MC6000

When doing video shows, its my coffin with 2 3700's and a Numark AVM 02 video mixer in place of the MC 6k.

Top it off with all sound from Yorkville and its hard to pick just one favorite.

My favorite piece is ME. Without ME, any equipment I own would just be paper weight :) However, any equipment in front of me works. Give me a cheapo Mixtrack and I can mix with it. Give me some Pioneer CDJ2000 and Pioneer DJM900 and I can mix with it.

What about this little issue?

"illegal to use after June 12, 2010"
"The FCC decided to re allocate the channels to law enforcement. "

At this moment, My favorite piece of equipment is my laptop. Macbook Pro 2.2 Quad core with 8 gigs of ram, 256 gig solid state HD and a 1 gig video card Ati Radeon 6750. I bought it because all the new videos are coming out in either 720p or 1080p quality H.264

id have to go with thetracker on this one and say my hands....

My pair of Denon HS5500 media players.

Still totally unique in what it is/does. Nobody's made anything like it.

Even Denon have failed to follow it up with something better!

Internal hard drive, so no need to DJ from a fragile computer. Two decks in one, with two separate outputs - so even if one HS5500 were to die, I could still finish my gig just using one HS5500. Plug in a USB keyboard to find and load tracks in seconds.

I'm with you there on the MixDeck. CD Player, Controller, Mixer, iPod Dock, USB Sticks/Hard Drives. Whocould ask for anything more? Well just one thing....... that the dock be updated so that an iPhone 4 works on it.

Good old fashioned notepad and pen for taking those all important requests and birthday shout-outs.

If the comp goes down and has to be restarted you still have the written requests and don't lose them.

Also useful to check back at a later date when you're looking for inspiration.

Got 2 or 3 notepads from the last 5 years at home, just about to finish another one.
