I started DJing in 1976 with numerous regular Nightclub and Pub residencies in my local area including 2 years on Derwentside Hospital Radio as Assistant Controller and Head Presenter. I started tinkering with computers in 1979 with an Apple IIe which changed my life. I left my trade as a Plumbing and Heating Engineer to become a full-time College student studying Computing. After 2 years I had an OND with Distinction in Computer Studies and went on to do a BA Degree in Data Processing at Sunderland University. I left the course early to go into teaching Computer Studies for the next 6 years as a full-time day job. Due to my Computing background, the transition from vinyl to digital in 1998 was easy for me. In Ibiza, I was a guest DJ at the Orange Corner Beach Bar, San Antonio for 5 consecutive years from 2006 playing Deep House sets. I also presented a House set at the legendary Bora Bora Beach Bar in Playa d'en Bossa covering for my friend Gordon Edge who was one of the resident DJs. I started using 100% music Videos at all of my residencies from 2007 till 2014. I left the Pubs and Clubs scene in 2014 to take up residence at a local Hotel DJing Weddings and Corporate Functions. After 7 years (and 300 weddings) I left the Hotel residency in July 2021 due to Covid-19. With over 100 gigs per year for decades, I'm now only DJing a few selected gigs per year and have a small mobile setup for any such occasion. I am still a self-employed Professional DJ (since 2002) and I actively keep my VirtualDJ software and music up to date
