Topic: Help with old Rane mixer

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I\'m wondering if anyone here has any experience with the dial type rane mixers? Last time I was there a while ago and I can\'t remember where I hooked up the the audio. I do remember it wasn\'t the right place, but it worked. LOL I did manage to find a picture of it, lousy quality though. Hoping someone can help.

Umm its like every other mixer...plug into the channel inputs and then on the rotary select the input you plugged into. :)

The one thing I LOVE about the dane rotary is you have access to all the inputs on any mixer knob unlike the pioneer where you usually have a choice of 2 inputs per channel.
 
JayMSY, the only input on top is the headphone jack. Are the other inputs underneath?
 
 
Thanks DJ SVO, I was looking for that yesterday, but couldn't find it, and didn't have a chance to look again. I still can't remember seeing the back panel with inputs but I'll make sure I take my glasses this time. LOL
 
I use this in my Friday night club, and they did the right thing. You can't get under it. They put an input panel on top of it, so you just plug in. No flashlights, and you don't have to worry someone disconnected something.

The rane rotary I use connections are on the bottom.
 
Thanks for the replies guys. The gig a few weeks ago was my first time at the club and first experience with the rane mixer. Normally I would have gotten there extra early, but my Mom got released from a nursing home the same day unexpectably and that didn't give me a lot of extra time to get there. Hope everyone has a great weekend. At least it looks like a dry weekend here in the mid-atlantic..
