Anyone know if it i possible to play a internet stream in VDJ?
That way, before starting the set I could just stream some radio station as filler and through the entire audio setup and easily switch into "live" mode without mucking about changing software/hardware.

Why would want to do that, when you can just drop some songs into AutoMix playlist and let them play automatically.....

I like the idea of having just one piece of software to do all my biddings, and also it would make for nice transitions(audio & video).

There is plenty streams without commercials out there and also several music services that can be streamed(deezer, last.fm etc)
But regardless of motive, the question remains, is it possible to play a stream in VDJ?

Yes, you can broadcast audio while using the VDJ broadcast area;
to a radio station, like VDJ Radio!
to a platform like http://www.listen2myradio.com/
to a own shoutcast server
or you can use your own computer as a station and share your mix with your friends!
The limit is here your upload speed!

Thanks but I am looking for the other way around, meaning receiving a stream from somewhere else and playing it with VDJ.

You mean using a hardware line-in? Or are there a software line-in to the decks?

Yes, you can go to advanced sound setup and set a channel to line in, then set that to a deck. I have used it to feed live bands through VDJ. So I guess it would work from a radio feed.
Have a look here http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/PDFManuals.html
Don’t understand why you would want to from radio though?
