I have not upgraded in awhile.

I upgraded to 7.04 and I can't get the controls to stay put. BPM, pitch to stay put??????

Load the default skin and check there are no gold padlocks beside the play buttons. Sounds like you might have smart play enabled.

I di dwhat you said, controls are still jumping all over the place.

Fader, Volume, BPM, Pitch?????
 
Un-install and re-install VDJ, see if that fixes it.
