I'm just wondering how do you connect the powered speakers & sub 2 the mixtrack pro....I saw a dj with his hooked up to his RMX without an amp, so I am just curious how this is done....Because I want 2 make the switch 2 a powered setup but not sure how 2 make it work with the Mixtrack Pro

It's done in exactly the same way as you'd hook up any other audio system - connect the output of the mixer to the input of the amp (which in this case are in the speakers). All you need is an appropriate cable with suitable connectors on each end.
Look at the outputs of the mixer, and the inputs of the speakers. Determine which connectors you have, then use the correct cable.

My set-up and connection is very straight forward - the standard line (which came w the speakers) instead of going from the back of the speakers into the back of the computer, goes into the back of the mixtrack - output 1 (white socket)...is this what u are talking about?

johnny on the mixtrack pro there is 2 sets of RCA outputs. if you only have your speakers connected to the white plug, then your only going to get a mono signal of the left side of the audio. you need to use both red and white if your ging to connect your speakers successfully. what you need if your speakers dont have rca inputs is an RCA - 6mm jack cable. unless the speakers have twin jacks in then you need rca to twin 6mm.
only using one side s pointless as you will never get true sound. rca's are stereo outputs via 2 channels. one left and one right. you need both of these to give a decent audio output. which perosnally i dont think the mxtrack pro does. the audio is pretty flat from the MTP, hence hwy i went for the advanced setup so i could run audio from my aptop and my cans from the MTP.

so will I need 2 run a cable from the back of the speakers to the back of the mixtrack pro.....Left speaker uses one output & right speaker uses the other??? if that is the case I am wondering how he had 2 powered speakers as well as a powered sub...

What type of speakers are you trying to connect? what brand and model? What type of inputs do they have? RCA? 1/4\"? XLR? 1/8\" (small headphone size)?
Does each speaker have it\'s own inputs or are they like some Computer speakers that daisy chain off each other?
Typically you would use a set of RCA (red/white) outputs from the Mixtrack Pro and take each one ( red or white) to each speaker\'s Mono RCA input. Some speakers do not have RCA input but only XLR if so you will need an adapter to connect them. If you need to go int a sub also most subs have pass through output so you connect your full output RCA\'s (both red and white) into the sub and then send the white output to one speaker and the red output to the other.

Jbart, I don't know yet, I didn't think I could connect powered speakers to my mixtrack with a sub because I have been using non powered with an amp & running the mixtrack into the amp then from the amp to the speakers because I didn't know that I could figure out a way 2 run powered speakers 2 the mixtrack pro, but thx your diagram helped a lot....
Also thx for the link Blulite...about 2 read it now..

Cool, obviously I thought you already had purchased the speakers. Different brands and models have different inputs and connect to their matching subs differently. For most you will need an RCA ->XLR cable connect the mixtrack. Moving to powered speakers was the one of the best moves I ever made. More flexibility, less weight, all around good move.
Did you have an idea of what type of speakers you are looking for? For most situations the consensus seems to be that the best sound comes from 10" or 12" tops combined with 15" or 18" subs depending on your needs and type of music you play along with how much space you have to transport them. Do you have a budget in mind?
