This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I've been searching for the past while for new subwoofers to build another sound system either for a rental unit or if I have multiple bookings on one night. I I've been trolling gear site, and ebay and kijiji constantly, But I finally came across a deal I could not pass up.

2 brand new 15 passive subwoofer cabinets at a pawnshop: for $250.00 CAD - for the pair
They are from a very low-end brand but that's unimportant; it was the cabinets themselves I wanted. I've ordered a pair of drivers from Eminence, and the corresponding crossovers.

Even after the Refurbish, I'll be saving myself about 300.00 over name branded gear.

Sometimes you find a diamond in the rough at the pawn shop!!

I found a Yorkville LS200P Elite Powered Subwoofer for $500 which included the shipping to my front door. :)

The sound is incredible. They still have more on the site I bought it from

For a Double 10inch sub those yorkville's are very good

Hello and sorry for my English!

I use this to make disco mobile:

And the sound is really beautiful and you should find cheaper I think specialty stores on the net, -)

Seen that I live in Switzerland I order in my country but the power / price / quality is really great!

Slide show of the RE-furbish will be posted in a couple of days.

I would recommend this to anyone who has budget concerns.

I'm just Cheap.
But I read and learn, and can occasionally turn lead into silver (not quite gold; but close.)
